One thing about human nature is that we are always pursuing success in all our life endeavors. Year after year, we take different actions, especially in our careers, hoping that those actions turn out great.
But then, while some people make it to the top, others are faced with difficulties that seem beyond their reach. Where this continues, it often discourages a lot of people from aspiring to the top.
However, this does not have to be the case. It is possible to learn how to excel from those who have achieved great feat. One of the people you can learn from is Ryan Hoggan.
Ryan Hoggan is the top executive and an investment expert.In this interview, he will speak on how you can learn from him and excel like a top executive.
What would you say brought you to this point?
Let me first clear this, now that I am here, everything looks easy. But this was not the case while I was moving up.
There were many challenges on the way, and things weren’t as smooth as I expected them to be. However, with the help of some leaders I learned from, I overcame many of these challenges.
On my part, too, I didn’t allow my discipline and dedication level to wane. I knew I was aspiring for something bigger, and I didn’t allow anything to shift my attention.
To people aspiring to be in a similar position you are, what would you advise?
There are no shortcuts to getting to the top. You have to put in a lot of hard work and work smartly. These are important if you wish to get to the top. Also, you must learn from people who have gone before you.
For me, I clinched on some of the industry experts and sought clarifications from them. I also discussed the major moves I was about to take.
This way, I was able to tap from their wealth of knowledge. I could also escape the mistakes they have made while achieving similar or better results than them.
I would advise that you should learn the art of discipline and dedication. Also, you should have a positive mindset and drive for excellence.
What things would you advise people aspiring to be like you to desist from?
I would say, desist from time wasters, and too good to be true death route disguised as lifetime opportunities. I didn’t start my journey alone.
I had many friends and people in the industry. Many hallucinated growth like a speed of light, which led them to different things, and today, they regret it.
If you are willing to get to the top, understand that there is a process. And while you can skip some processes by taking some risks, you will have to pass through many others.
In all, always be smart and learn from what others have passed through. You don’t have to make the same or similar mistakes before you learn.
In becoming a top executive, would you say learning from a leader has any effect?
I am a product of consistent learning from those who have gone before me. I believe that to see far ahead beyond what others have seen; you have to stand on their shoulders.
It is only through this way that you can learn from them and avoid their mistakes. If you ask me a thousand times, I would say learning from leaders is a sure bet.
What challenges should those aspiring to be like you expect, or are there none?
I haven’t experienced everything yet, so I can’t cover all challenges people should expect. And everyone’s journey is different, so the challenges are more of a personalized thing.
But one common thing is rejection. There are no two ways to it; you will be rejected at one point in time. Where this happens, pick yourself up and try again—this time, even stronger.
